Bob Roback & Dave GoldbergFounders

Dashbox was conceived by digital music pioneers Bob Roback and Dave Goldberg who co-founded LAUNCH Media Inc. in 1994. LAUNCH transformed the consumer music discovery experience online, and the pair led the company through its initial public offering in 1999 and then its acquisition by Yahoo! in 2001. Following the sale, Bob and Dave served as Vice Presidents and General Managers of Yahoo! Music, where they led the company's global music operations and built it into the Internet's most popular music destination.

Bob currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Dashbox. Prior to co-founding LAUNCH, Bob was an associate practicing corporate and securities law at the international firm of Mayer, Brown & Platt. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and his B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Dave currently serves as Chairman of Dashbox and Chief Executive Officer of SurveyMonkey, the world’s leading provider of web-based survey solutions. Dave has served as an Entrepreneur in Residence with Benchmark Capital and, prior to co-founding LAUNCH, was Director of Marketing Strategy and New Business Development at Capitol Records. Dave also serves on the Board of Directors at Ancestry.com and GMG Entertainment. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a BA degree in History and Government.

Mark Pedowitz

Since leaving a highly successful 18 year career at Disney in February 2010, Mark founded and is currently Chairman of Pine Street Entertainment Group, Inc., a consulting firm providing business advice to companies in the entertainment industry, as well as developing original television programming.

At Disney/ABC Media Group Mark most recently served as the Senior Advisor to the Office of the Co-Chairman, reporting to Anne Sweeney, Co-Chair Disney-Media Networks and President, Disney-ABC Television Group. From 2004 to 2009, Mark was President, ABC Studios (formerly Touchstone Television), overseeing creative and business operations for the studio’s most successful and prolifically creative years. His role also included oversight of music for the Disney-ABC Television Group and the new media content studio Stage 9 Digital Media. Under Mark’s leadership, ABC Studios emerged as a leader in the development, production and strategic distribution of entertainment content across network, cable, mobile, and emerging technologies. He also expanded the studio’s cable and first-run syndication production.

Mark joined ABC as SVP, Business Affairs and Contracts, where he negotiated deals to acquire programming for primetime, daytime, late night, and the Saturday morning children’s block. He was promoted to Executive Vice President, ABC Entertainment Television Group where he oversaw all business, legal and financial affairs for ABC Primetime and Touchstone Television, as well as business/legal affairs for ABC Daytime.

Prior to joining ABC, Mark was Senior Vice President, Business Affairs and Administration, MGM/UA Television Production Group. He began his career in the entertainment industry as an attorney at MCA, Inc., and was Vice President, Business Affairs, Reeves Entertainment Group/Alan Landsburg Productions. Earlier, he was Vice President, Business Affairs and General Counsel, The Landsburg Company.

Mark currently sits on the BMI Board of Directors, the Board of the Foundation for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS), and has served on the Executive Board of both the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) and the Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS).

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mark is a graduate of the John Marshall Law School in Chicago and holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Rockford College in Illinois.
